For Jeddah Season 2022, 3DB was proud to collaborate with GAG Events to bring a one-of-a-kind immersive attraction to life: the Ultimate Virtual Reality Experience. Tasked with transforming a temporary space into a fully functional, world-class VR environment, 3DB handled every element of the technical design and installation — from concept through to execution. This high-profile activation formed part of one of Saudi Arabia’s biggest entertainment festivals and aimed to push the boundaries of what’s possible in consumer-facing virtual reality.

The centrepiece of the project was the creation and management of a fully interactive popup VR park. 3DB led the entire infrastructure build, including rigging, lighting, networking, audio, and visual systems, all custom-designed for a high-traffic, high-performance environment. Aesthetics were integrated with functionality to create an immersive space that was both visually striking and technically sound. At the heart of this experience was a groundbreaking collaboration with Teslasuit, which allowed us to deliver the world’s first fully haptic VR gaming setup designed for public use. Guests could physically feel their in-game interactions in real-time — a level of immersion never before seen in a consumer VR setting. Through expert planning, seamless integration, and hands-on project delivery, 3DB created an experience that stood out in both innovation and impact.

What made this project especially unique was the scale and speed at which it had to be delivered, combined with the cutting-edge technology involved. As a full-service production company, our ability to provide technical design and installation in-house meant we could work with precision and flexibility, coordinating across hardware suppliers, interactive content developers, and local infrastructure teams. The success of this VR experience not only captivated thousands of visitors during Jeddah Season but also demonstrated what’s possible when bold ideas are backed by strong technical execution.
